The Race: A Simplicity
Musical is set in
Anywhere, North America. The 75-minute musical traces the fast-paced
life of Dave, a single parent and hard-working middle manager at
Biggins and Rude, a large company with large expectations. Dave's
rise to the top brings him into tension with his family, his
co-workers, his core values, and his future. Dave's questions are
sharpened by the appearance of Lily, an old college friend. In the
end, Dave makes hard choices that bring new qualities to his
life.
