What Some of Our Members have to say about St. Paul Lutheran Church
"St. Paul feels like the right size Church home for us. We have also come to greatly enjoy Pastor Marge's message every Sunday morning. We're not sure how she does it, but we think she has our kitchen bugged, because almost every Sunday, it's as if she is preaching only to us about things going on in our lives."
-Jim and Carla J.
"We like the way St. Paul supports people in need. The church gives food and money to Valley Interfaith Ministries. It supports ministries across the world through Lutheran World Relief. People at St. Paul remember Jesus calls us to love our neighbors."
-Marge and Jim A.
"St. Paul means a community of faith to our family. Our lives are so hectic during the week, we look forward to worship on Sunday. This gathering helps us to continue our faith during the week."
-Janet K. and Dennis K.
"We like St. Paul because of the family atmosphere, and the willingness to help others."
-Eric and Susan B.
"In the years I have attended St. Paul's, I have seen and felt much caring and concern in this church family. Choirs and musical activities have been very important to me and have provided an avenue of faith and witness of God's love and care at St. Paul's. I met my husband at St. Paul's and have raised my family within the church family."
-Carolyn K.
"St. Paul's is where I grew up. It is like home to me. I never realized how much it meant to me until I returned home from college. My husband and I got married and soon after he became a member too. When we are at St. Paul's, we are surrounded by family and that closeness is very important to our worship experience."
-Julie D.
"St. Paul's is our extended FAMILY. Marty & I met and were married at St. Paul, where both of our families are members. We like the closeness of the congregation where everyone knows everyone else. St. Paul has been able to pull together and strengthen their faith over the last five years. The addition of Pastor Anderson and her "five-year vision" has given our family and the congregation new enthusiasm, making it fun and exciting to be a member of St. Paul. Come join us at St. Paul and join our family."
-Doug L.
"I became a member of St. Paul over 15 years ago and consider this congregation my second home. The members are like a large family of caring people. We rejoice together and share each others' sorrows. The support that is shared comes from love for God and one another. But the love of St. Paul Lutheran extends beyond the walls of the church as its outreach programs reach into our community and the world. It is a joy to be involved with St. Paul in worship, witness, and work."
-Elinor S.
"The closeness and the community of our church is one of our greatest blessings. This has gotten us through a hard time and made the church an even better place. I think this has helped all of us realize that together we can accomplish many things."
-Joyce K.
"My daughter and I have been members for over seven years at St. Paul. What I love about our church is the genuine care, concern, and love we have for each other. We are truly a family in Christ."
-Katie S.
"When Norwood Lutheran Church closed in July 2000, it was a sad occasion. I had been a member for 65 years. Our motto was: 'The Church where you feel at home.' I visited a number of other Lutheran Churches and St. Paul Lutheran was the church where I again can say: 'The church where I feel at home.'"
-Marie W.
"St. Paul Lutheran Church has been a friendly church home for us with meaningful worship services. Our four daughters were confirmed and married here so we have some good memories. We have been nourished in our spiritual life with Sunday school classes and Bible Study groups."
-Jean N.
"I have been a lifelong member here, even the two years I belonged to a church in Pennsylvania. My boys make the 5th generation of my family to attend St. Paul's. St. Paul's is my extended family. They have been here for me through good times and bad times in my life. No matter what you have done or been through, St. Paul will welcome you with open arms and show you God's love."
- Faith P.
"Most of all I feel that St. Pauls members care about each other very much. Whenever you ask for help they are most generous with their time and talents. We at St. Paul are very fortunate to also have a 'GREAT' pastor and she cares about all of us. I am very happy to be a member of this congregation and I would not want to join any other church because I love St. Paul, and if you decide to join our group, you will be very happy to be one of us."
-Ruth B.
"I live in Springfield Township, east of Forest Fair Mall. There are other Lutheran churches closer to my home, but I'd rather travel to St. Paul. I like the sense of belonging. I was baptized, confirmed, and married at St. Paul's. My three sons were baptized and confirmed here. All of my brothers and sisters in Christ are here. Some faces have changed, some people have come and gone, some have recently joined St. Paul's. However, the tremendous feeling of love, caring, and Christian fellowship has long been an attribute of this church. Not only are the members here an extension of my family, but also they are truly God's family. Everyone is more than willing to give what he or she can to help another person, be it prayer, nurturing, support, companionship, an ear to listen, or a shoulder to cry on. I invite you to come. Come to God's house and share with us."
-Sherry B.
"What we like most about St. Paul is the sense of community. Everyone truly cares about each other and supports each other."
-Kris and Rhonda K.
"Our family loves St. Paul because of the bond that we've all developed with each other. They are your extended family. The church is inspiring and beautiful and it is filled with gifted people who want to serve."
-Vicki and Phil H.
"St. Paul's has been my church home all my life. I have been especially involved with the music program over the years to the glory of God. Over the years I have enjoyed the friendliness & fellowship, and the spirit of caring and commitment of the congregation."
- Jack W.
"Although my husband is a lifetime member, I came to this church over 10 years ago from a large church of over 2,000 members. I have loved the size and the friendliness of St. Paul's members and their commitment to the worship of our Lord and their caring for each individual, their families, and their 'outside' friends. And when I came I also loved the quality of their music program which was better than in my old church."
- Mary W.
